- In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper is back with a stubborn blackhead pop.
- A blackhead is a clog in a hair follicle that fills with dead skin cells and oil and is then exposed to oxygen created a black “head.”
- While this bump may be stubborn, it looks just a little chocolate chip once it emerges.
In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper is bringing her fans a classic blackhead extraction. The new video features the dermatologist and TLC host, whose real name is Dr. Sandra Lee, going in on a patient’s skin in order to pry out a stubborn build-up of oil and dead skin cells. While this blemish puts up a fight, Dr. Lee comes out victorious.
The video begins with the dermatologist attempting to remove the blackhead with her extraction tool but running into quite the resistance from the spot. In fact, as she tries to scrape it free, she lets out, “This is a rock,” before pressing in even harder with her extractor.
Turns out that the tool just isn’t enough, and Dr. Lee goes in with her hands. Tightly, she squeezes either side of the blackhead until bits of the gunk inside begin to protrude from her patient’s skin. Then, she brings back her extractor and pulls the entire thing free.
Once outside its hair follicle home, the little blackhead looks just like a chocolate chip — but you know, not as delicious and definitely not something you should be eating.
